Like any legitimate rockstar, ocassionally we let things slide...And in this case, the neglected item has been our blog. Our apologies to any of you who may have been checking in over these last several (ummm...10!) months.

Though our blog has been left behind, our mission of Rockin' for a Cause certainly has not. In 2007, we raised more than $6K to help impact the lives of local children and their families. THAT ROCKS! We also invested more than 100 volunteer-hours on behalf of the KS95 For Kids and affiliated non-profit organizations, and continued our sponsorship of the radiothon website: www.KS95ForKids.com.

This year, we're excited to do even more - and with your help, we know that's possible! In partnership with KS95 For Kids' donation management tool (Convio), we've enabled online donations through our site - making it easier than ever for you to be a ROCKSTAR!

We're also excited to formally introduce our fourth and final band member - Sahara Shio, lead singer! She's currently on "an extended tour" - but will be appearing in bobblehead likeness this Spring. You can get your very own collector's edition Sahara bobblehead with your donation of $50 or more to the cause (through our site).

We are still raising money on behalf of KS95 for Kids. Since the radiothon we have raised an additional $1,400. This is a great cause and we are a so happy that we can continue to support it. Stay tuned for up coming activates this spring!

With over a foot of snow on the ground Reside volunteers still made it to the radiothon to work the phones. It was a great effort put in by everyone to help out at the event. The Reside volunteers all wore band tee-shirts and back stage passes. We even had a band member get on the air with a KS95 radio personality and talk about “Rockin' for a cause”. It feels great to give back to the community for such a worthy cause. Let’s keep on Rockin' for a cause in 07!

We recently had our annual Holiday Party! It was our first event in long time where Residers brought their significant others. Lots of new faces!! It was great. The theme for the party was: Be a Rock Star for a night! People wore 80's rock shirts. We had a Guitar Hero II competition with prizes.

The idea for the party came to me when I was given the game by everyone at Reside for Bosses day. How cool is that?!?! Anyway, if you have not played the game, I can tell you it is addictive. I think 3 or 4 Residers have picked it up since the party. Check it out at: http://www.guitarherogame.com/

It has been 3 week since theResiders website launched and we have received a number of generous donations and wonderful stories. It is amazing how many people have a personal story about their family being helped by Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare or the Children's Cancer Research Fund. The stories touch our heart and reaffirm our dedication to supporting children's health. Thanks for everyone who has participated so far.

WOW...What began as a concept of "Rockin'" at Reside, LLC (with one rocker dude silhouette) has morphed into a something bigger and better than I ever could have imagined. This site is a true testiment to the wonderful team at Reside. I can not even begin to tell you the amount of time and energy they have put into this, while still taking care of their full-time jobs! Thanks!!!!

Overall, our goals with this site are to Rock for a Cause by raising awareness and funds for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare and Children's Cancer Research Fund via the KS95 For Kids Radiothon. We also hope to showcase our company's culture and some really cool things that we are doing with web strategy and technologies. Super cool!
